9 Units 1.8 MW Yuchai disel generator sets | Vietnam Listed Factory Power Project

Aike Power completed a full power supply project for a large listed manufacturing factory in Vietnam, delivering 9 sets of 1.8MW Yuchai diesel generator sets equipped with German MTU mature engine technology. This batch of high-power gensets acts as the core prime power source for the factory’s full production line, solving the factory’s long-term unstable grid power and production shutdown risks caused by power outages.

All 9 units adopt the classic MTU series technical platform matched by Yuchai, with stable continuous output of 1800kW prime power, supporting multi-unit parallel automatic operation to meet the 24-hour uninterrupted production demand of the Vietnam large-scale industrial park. As a reliable Vietnam industrial power solution, this project fully verifies the adaptability of Yuchai MTU tech gensets to Southeast Asian high-temperature, high-humidity factory environments.

The client is a well-known listed manufacturing enterprise in Vietnam, covering a production workshop area of over 120,000 ㎡, with 3 shift continuous production lines. Local power grid fluctuation frequently leads to production loss, and the factory urgently needed a stable self-provided prime power system to guarantee annual production capacity.

1. Total required continuous prime power: 16.2MW, configured with 9 × 1.8MW Yuchai MTU technology generators;
2. Support automatic parallel operation of all units, automatic load distribution;
3. Adapt to Vietnam’s tropical high temperature environment (up to 48℃ ambient temperature);
4. Long service life, low fuel consumption, easy local maintenance & spare parts supply in Vietnam.

This 1.8MW Yuchai high-power diesel engine adopts the proven structural technology of Germany MTU heavy-duty engine models, with optimized fuel injection system, stronger load resistance and lower failure rate compared with ordinary domestic high-power engines. It can run continuously under full load for 24 hours, perfectly matching the long-hour working conditions of Vietnam manufacturing factories.

1. Customized production of 9 units 1.8MW Yuchai MTU tech generators finished in Aike Power factory, complete factory full-load test before shipment;
2. 4 flatbed trucks transport all gensets to seaport, complete container loading for Vietnam sea shipment;
3. After goods arrive at Vietnam port, local engineering team cooperates with client to complete foundation laying, unit positioning, exhaust pipeline and parallel control system wiring;
4. Full load joint debugging of 9 gensets, pass 72-hour continuous operation acceptance test, officially put into factory production power supply.

After 8 months of stable operation, the client’s factory reported that the 9 sets of Yuchai MTU technology generators have zero unexpected shutdown failures, the overall fuel consumption is 12% lower than the client’s previous old imported gensets, and the multi-unit parallel switching response speed meets the factory’s strict production power standards. The client has signed a follow-up expansion power supply cooperation intention with Aike Power for the new factory building.
